A glimpse into my second year as a wedding content creator in Columbus, Ohio

If my first year as a wedding content creator in Columbus was about figuring things out, my second year was about finding my rhythm. Reflecting on this past year, it felt less like surviving and more like intentionally building something I’m proud of. I learned not only how to better serve my couples and vendor teams, but also how to trust myself in a role that’s still relatively new to the wedding industry.

Here’s a glimpse into what my year looked like:

JANUARY

  • Took 17 consultation calls with potential brides in Columbus (hello booking season!).
  • Captured Natalie and Ryan’s wedding day.

FEBURARY

  • Secured Brick and Ivory Bridal as my first social media management client.
  • Captured Elizabeth’s bridal shower.
  • Created content for 3 local small businesses.

MARCH

  • Took 11 consultation calls with potential couples.
  • Captured Kayla’s bridal shower.
  • Documented Hannah and Nick’s wedding day.

APRIL

MAY

  • Documented two styled shoots.
  • Started hiring a bigger team (hi Abby and Meghan!)
  • Captured 4 weddings, including The Franklin Park Conservatory and The Dempsey.
  • Took 9 consultation calls and met with a few summer brides for content planning.

JUNE

  • Double header weddings almost every weekend, including a couple rehearsal dinners/welcome parties.
  • Took 7 consultation calls.
  • Started building up the social media management side of my business for wedding vendors.

JULY

  • Captured 3 weddings, including one at The Revery (one of my top 3 favorite wedding venues in Columbus).
  • Lots of planning meetings with August brides and a handful of consultation calls.

AUGUST

  • The busiest month yet, with 12 total weddings!
  • Captured my first Indian wedding, which was such a highlight for me.

SEPTEMBER

  • Chatted with 4 amazing 2026 brides, which made me so excited for the year ahead.
  • Documented 7 weddings, including one at The Athletic Club of Columbus.
  • Created content for 3 local small businesses.

OCTOBER

  • My busiest social media management month!
  • Captured 5 weddings, including Bryn Du Mansion (which might be my favorite wedding venue from the entire year).
  • Attended another amazing New York Bridal Fashion Week.
  • Celebrated my own wedding anniversary (year one)!

NOVEMBER

  • Captured one wedding and two styled shoots.
  • Took a delayed honeymoon with my husband.
  • Captured one of my summer couples’ baby announcement (ahhh!).

DECEMBER

  • Documented a Christmas wedding at The Westin (it was magic) for one of the sweetest couples.
  • Heard from another local magazine… stay tuned!

In year one, I often second-guessed myself. This year, I walked into weddings with a crystal clear understanding of my purpose. I knew how to blend seamlessly into the day, anticipate moments before they happened, and work alongside photographers and planners in a way that felt collaborative rather than cautious.

As I move forward, I’m incredibly grateful for the couples who trusted me with one of the biggest days of their lives, for the vendors who welcomed me as part of the team, and for the lessons that pushed me to grow both creatively and personally.

Here’s to continuing to evolve, to telling love stories in real time, and to creating meaningful wedding content in Columbus for years to come.
